Mail follow up suggestions
I have turned off follow up suggestions in my Apple email settings, but it is always showing up the suggestions at the top. Very annoying!
Any ideas as how to turn this off?
Thank you.

Well said.
When Steve died, the very spirit that made Apple great died, replaced only with smugness, greed and complacency.
If Tim had a fraction of Steve’s humility or wisdom, he’d have the courage to fix what’s obviously wrong with Apple - a total lack of vision or commitment to excellence.
I agree completely. Thank you for the compliment there could've been some more punctuation but I'm dictating. Which I may add was a function that stopped working for almost a year before they got it working again. Luckily there were enough complaints to make it happen. especially because it's an accessibility issue and that starts making it a Federal issue. Evidently just annoying us doesn't bother them.
Completely agree!
Apparently if you use a question mark (?) anywhere in your email, apple automatically thinks that email needs a followup, even when you have turned off followup. that’s probably why it seems random. Idk why apple chose to hard code their opinion about one’s use of a question mark. Does apple not understand that sometimes when I use a question mark I am NOT awaiting a response?! I might use a question mark to make a point. It might not be a Q & A email, where I’m waiting for the Answers. I might just be saying something rhetorical. Or I might ask a question and then my next sentence answers it.
It doesn't even need a question mark. Just a phrase such as "Please let me know..." will trigger your sent message appearing at the top of your inbox in a couple of days time regardless of the switch setting.
That makes it a really clever stupid function!
In the latest example of this, I had the sentence "Why did I buy it?" in the email. Is this an example of AI making a mess of things?
I have "Follow Up Suggestions" turned off.
I guess this comment would trigger followup because of my sentence "Is this an example of AI making a mess of things?"
