Hello jonsho2,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities!
We can understand wanting to see detailed information about the connected devices on your Mac.
Using Finder might be the best way to see the devices, detailed here: See the devices connected to your Mac - Apple Support
"You can view icons for hard disks, external disks, CDs, DVDs, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and connected servers in the Finder sidebar or on your desktop.
- In the Finder
on your Mac, choose Finder > Preferences. - Click General, then select the items you want to see on the desktop.
For example, if you select “Hard disks,” icons for your hard disks appear on your desktop.
3. Click Sidebar, then select the items you want to see in the Finder sidebar.
Some items are listed below Favorites, and others are listed below Locations."
You can also view a system report which will have more details about connected devices as well:
"View a system report
- To open a system report, choose Apple menu
> About This Mac, then click System Report.
Tip: You can also press and hold the Option key, then choose Apple menu
> System Information.
2. To change your view of the report, do one of the following:
- See a longer report: Choose File > Show More Information. The report could be a few megabytes.
- See a shorter report: Choose File > Show Less Information. The report includes most of the hardware and network information, but leaves out most of the software information."
This Apple Support page has the full details: Get system information for your Mac - Apple Support
We hope this helps to see more information about the connected devices.
Cheers!
