How do I keep separate address books, photos, etc. for two iphones

How do I keep my address book and photos, etc. separate from my husbands, if we are using the same computer to back up? iTunes wants to sync our iPhones together. He doesn't want all my PTA contacts, and I don't want his work contacts.

Each iPhone can have different sync preferences with iTunes on the same computer.

Under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, you can select the photos you want transferred to your iPhone and your husband can do the same under the Photos tab for his iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. The same applies under the Music, Movies, TV shows, Podcasts, and Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and for your husband's iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

If both iPhones are being synced with the same address book application on your computer, the contacts will be the same on each iPhone.
