Reminders storage space

The Reminders app takes up 5 GB in iCloud. That seems like a lot to me. Barring reducing lists and reminders, is there any way to reduce that? Thanks!

Delete a reminder

WARNING: When you delete a reminder, it is deleted on every device with Reminders turned on in iCloud settings. If you are using upgraded reminders and delete a reminder with subtasks, the reminder and all its subtasks are deleted.

  1. In Reminders on iCloud.com, select the list where the reminder appears, then select the reminder you want to delete.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Press the Delete or Backspace key.
    • If you are not using upgraded reminders, you can also click Details, then click Delete in the Details window.

Note : reminders are synced with iCloud you can also delete from Mac Delete reminders on Mac - Apple Support
