Safari video controls

Just wondering if anyone knew of a way to restore the default location for 10/15 second fast forward on video in safari. Sure I’m not the only one who’s missing them being in the bottom left

I am using some streaming videos to learn a language and I need to repeat brief segments from the video quickly. You can do this by leaving the cursor over the required timeline point on the overlay and just clicking the mouse. But this doesn't work if the segment is more than a few seconds long and the overlay controls have disappeared. If that happens, you have to jiggle the mouse to get the overlay back, then click on the point you want - but that has the effect of stopping the stream, so you have to then start the stream again and re-position the cursor. I hope this request is clear.

Safari video player change in iOS 17 I hate that now when i open a video in Safari and i use the video player in full screen if I want to go forward in the video I can't just swipe right in any point of the screen but you have to swipe right on the time bar. Why? It was so good in iOS 16 that you could swipe in any point of the screen! You know if there's a way to fix this or it's just iOS 17 that is bad? please apple fix this [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Safari skips video ahead when paused Hello, In some sites, when I leave a video paused and return to it a few minutes later, the video has skipped few minutes ahead. I have noticed this happening when watching videos in "Amazon Prime Video" or "Dailymotion", and I was unable to replicate this in Google Chrome or another browser. Hence, I suspect this is an issue with Safari rather than these sites in particular. I have not managed to find out how long exactly I have to leave the paused video idle for this to happen, or whether I have to change tabs, minimise Safari, etc., but I have found that the video is consistently forwarded by about 58 seconds (at least in the case with "Amazon Prime Video"). This could be perhaps related to how long ahead has the website buffered the video? In any case, this is very annoying, having to skip back a minute or so every time I return to watch a video after a few minutes of absence. Any help with this issue would be appreciated! Viesturs_

You can find Safari settings in Settings > Safari. Here are a couple articles about the things you can change, though video controls don’t look to be one of them.

Thanks but none of the setting you advised allows you to change the location of video functions
