Dictation not working on my iPhone XS after last update

Is anyone having issues with the dictation function in all the apps? My microphone is visible, it acts like it’s going to work but never types instead a blue circle keeps spinning. Help! Apple please fix the dictation function!!!

Why won't dictation work on my iPhone XR? Try as I might I cannot get dictation to work on anything on my iPhone XR. Have reset everything. Checked dictation was on. Turned it off and restarted. Since the update, the dictation function is no longer recognizing my speech. I have already tried basic troubleshooting steps including restarting the device, toggling the dictation setting, resetting the keyboard dictionary, and even a complete reset of the iPhone. The microphone itself appears to be working correctly as I can make and receive calls without any issues. This lack of dictation functionality is significantly impacting my ability to use my new phone effectively. Hi Browne212,

If dictation is not working on your iPhone, you can try some basic troubleshooting steps:

Restart your iPhone
Ensure you are running iOS 16.0.2 Update your iPhone or iPad

If it still doesn't work, as it is a system wide feature, Contact Apple Support or use this Get Support link for assistance.
