How are we suppose to use iPhone

You use it the same way you've always used it.
An iPhone 6/6plus can't be updated beyond 12.5.6, it doesn't have the hardware needed to run anything higher.
If you need a higher iOS version, you will have to purchase a newer phone.

Updating iPhone 6 to iOS 12.5.5:
You Can't. Only the latest-compatible version would install: iOS 12.5.6.
So. Update Using a Computer:
1. Back Up First:
IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update
