I cannot login to the iTunes Store on my iPad

I login into my account on the App Store using the correct login, but then when I try to download apps or updates it rejects my login details as incorrect.

neither of these articles explain why my Apple ID. Which is correct, and I can login to on the App Store, then asks me to login to iTunes and won’t recognise it.

Then how do I change the Apple ID. On iTunes when it is correct in the App Store.
And why wouldn’t they be linked since Apple require us to use their App Store.
