Apple Watch SE side button not responding. It just passed one Yr warranty. Used assistive touch to power down and up, but still doesn’t respond. Running with warm water didn’t help either..

I have an Apple Watch series 5 and recently I found the side button sticking sometimes when I’ve wanted to activate Apple Pay on the watch, to the point that I’ve had to press quite hard to activate Apple Pay sometimes. I’ve now found that the side button is permanently pressed in on one side and the button no longer responds. I’ve seen some posts that have recommended running it under warm water but I have tried this several times to no avail. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to fix this please? Any advice would be much appreciated. The watch is 2 years old so it is out of warranty.

Power button on Apple Watch series 6 not working properly Hi, so the power button on my apple watch series 6 works only when I am turning on the apple watch. It does not respond to anything else - powering off, or double click for apple pay, or one click to cancel apps. It just simply does not work for those things. It only works when the Apple Watch is off and I need to turn it on by pressing the power button. It is updated, i tried the water trick, I tried cleaning around the power button, nothing is working..

apple watch side button stuck and digital button not responding Hi , I admit I do sweat/perspire a lot from my daily work , I realize that my side button is not clicking anymore as well as my Digital Crown is not responding well , Apple promotes it watch to be used actively for a healthier lifestyle , yet human will perspire and sweat , long term the 2 main buttons may not be functioning leaves the watch useless ... as well I don't think much people will really take time to clean their watch throughly or maybe at all . I doubt too warranty will cover it ...

Have you tried unpairing the watch and setting up as new?
