Iphone wont work

the iphone does not allow me to open any apps, it does not allow me to click on any incoming text messages to open them and read them. I can not access my contacts or notes etc no apps will open. I does not allow me to power off the phone.

How do I restore iPhone stuck on loading apps after the update? Although I kept reading about some problems with this latest iPhone update, I did it anyway. Now, my iPhone can make and receive calls and messages but that is about it! Not a complete brick but nothing, not even Apple Store app or Safari or any of the numerous financial and product apps that I have on the phone will open! Just sits there "loading" until it times out. I have looked at numerous ideas online using my Mac but nothing works. I plan to take my phone to the Apple Store tomorrow. Any ideas? Follow these steps, testing after each step:

If that didn’t work, then I recommend service.
