I can’t offer any recommendations for a 32” display, but it is wise to contemplate the resolution options based on the type of connection before purchasing a display.

Edit: if you are using the factory supplied cable with your current Samsung display, first try replacing it with a Premium cable.

My 4K 32-inch LG cost 699USD, so won't mention it. Ideally, you want a display whose speaker volume, ports, and screen controls can be adjusted with a touch-sensitive side panel.
My 32-inch display doesn't feature these ease-of-use controls and uses a bottom-mounted joy stick for on-screen controls. This is necessary because, over HDMI, I cannot control this display (other than HDR) from my M1 mini running macOS 11.7. Naturally, if using a BlueTooth speaker, then I have keyboard audio control only.
I have a Samsung S32A700. It seems Apple drivers aren't available for the M1. A lot of us have frequent blackouts or white flashes on the edge of the screen. I don't need your ease of use features. Just a reliable 4K, HDR-10, real 60hz refresh and 4ms response. I'm hoping for some model numbers to research. Thanks for the quick reply.
Though it may be necessary to install display drivers in Windows and Linux, they are not required in macOS and I would not recommend installing any even if available from the vendor because they rarely keep them up to date and updates/upgrades of the operating system may no longer be compatible with those drivers.
