Copying from a website and can’t find the copied items

Whatever you copy goes to an invisible place known as a "clipboard". You don't see the clipboard contents until you "paste" it somewhere else.

Although that document only discusses text, you can usually copy and paste any number of items: pictures, videos, sounds, movies... lots of stuff.
