Only computers are authorized devices for iTunes. iPads are associated devices. To remove, see the following from View and remove your devices that are associated with Apple ID purchases - Apple Support


Remove your associated iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Tap Settings, tap your name, then tap Media & Purchases.
  2. Tap View Account. You might be asked to sign in.
  3. Scroll down, then tap Remove This Device.



Also, if you are selling, giving away or otherwise wanting to completely erase the iPad, see: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
