Siri and Voice-to-Text

Siri doesn't work after the update, and the voice command instead of typing where you could speak isn't working anymore.

Hi neils2197,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! Since this began, have you had a chance to restart your iPhone? Although simple, restarting can resolve many issues:

  1. "Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.

The volume button is located on the left side of the device, and the side button is located on the right

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.

3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo."

-Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

If so, we suggest giving these steps a try next as they can relate to what you're experiencing: If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone.

Should the behavior continue, tell us more about what happens when you try to use Siri. Is this persistent when activating Siri through the side button and when using 'Hey Siri'? Do you get an error message? Which version of iOS shows installed in Settings > General > About?

Cheers!
