The option to choose "vibrate only" for messages notification doesn't work. There are still audible alerts for new messages. Is this a known bug/issue. I'm running iOS 16.02 on my iPhone 12 Pro. .

It is not a known bug that I have seen, and I haven’t seen any other posts about it. In Settings/Notifications/Messages set the sound to None and choose a vibrate setting. When you do this are you saying you still here a sound?
I selected none for alert tones. When you return to the Messages notification screen, Sounds will now show "Vibrate only".
Then I suggest contacting Apple Support using the link at the top of this page.

i hear the previously selected alert... Bamboo. . I don't have an apple watch.
