My iPad stopped working yesterday night

Basically, I was watching some youtube yesterday night, and everything wasn't going well until my iPad just turned off, which seemed pretty odd to me because it was at 40 and then it turned off, tho i didn't find it that odd because my iPad is pretty old (it's an iPad 4 lmao) but you know it still works pretty well so I didn't have any reason to change yet, thing is, i went to charge it and I dawn it turned on so i just dismissed it and left it charging, when I disconnected it for school I thought it was at full charge cause that's the obvious thing to think, but when I got to school and tried to turn it on it just didn't want to turn on, and when I plugged it, it just started to restart itself over and over, it even restarted itself when it was on the apple logo, and I really don't know what to do, I've tried everything and still nothing, please help :(
