iPhone Overheating is Getting Ridiculous
As the title says, I feel like this is an issue that has been going unaccounted for way too long now.
I just went from a 12 Pro to a 14 Pro Max, and while it is a bit better in terms of the temperature I am already experiencing discomfort in holding my phone.
No, I do not game, if anything calls cause the most problems — either FaceTIme or just regular calls.
The only fix right now? Taking the case off of my phone. Cases that are already as slim as can be because I am mindful of this problem. But I am not comfortable holding this expensive phone case free, adding the factor that it is an incredibly slippery phone.
Apple should have solutions to this already besides dimming my screen...
HOW ABOUT?
- The option to turn off features that hog the processor on FaceTime?
- How about having a performance mode that works well in hot environments while in public?
- Most importantly, how about official apple cases, chargers, and products that are designed to cool the iPhone or work to prevent overheating?
I have owned iPhones since the 5C, and it just feels like I can't go 20 minutes without my phone feeling like it's going to burn up — a problem I frankly never complained about with my old phones. It makes no sense; if we just had the option to manage this by selectively turning off unnecessary features at will or just official products that took care of this...
I am frustrated because a new phone should not do this, especially when I am already conscious of this issue so the heaviest task I ever use (BASED SOLELY ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH WHAT HEATS UP MY PHONE) is FaceTime, and this is ridiculous. It is an app I will continue to use because it makes sense, so it needs a strip-naked version that doesn't cause my phone to have a meltdown.
