iphone 12 Pro Max touch screen freezes after the ios 16 & 16.02 update.

After the ios 16 update, my touch screen keeps freezing. I managed to restart and install 16.02 but it still keeps freezing. All of the threads I have seen don't refer to the iphone 12, and also refer to the freeze happening on a non-apple screen. My screen has not been replaced and is still original so there is definitely still a problem with the update. I have downgraded to 15.7 and the phone works so I am convinced it is still a problem with the update. I also updated my watch to watchos 8 and now this won't sync with the phone because it wants the phone to be at 16.0 or above.

Anyone else having similar problems with the iphone 12 and ios 16.02? Is apple going to bring out another patch to fix the bug?
