Warranty expiration date for my new iPhone?

I bought a new iPhone yesterday 26/09/22 but it’s warranty expiry date reads 22/07/23, does it mean the phone was activated 2 months ago.

Did you buy it from Apple directly or an authorized retailer? If so you can show proof of purchase with your receipt. Correct the purchase date or expiration date for your AppleCare agreement - Apple Support
If you purchased from a non-authorized retailer then you need to contact them to ensure you were actually sent a new device.
