MacBook Pro 16 inch 2019 freezes up when waking up from sleep, its connected to two external monitors

on of the monitors is connected via USB-C and the other using HDMI

when I try and wake it up it freezes so bad, and its annoying as ****

To help to isolate to a particular device, here are some troubleshooting steps to try:


  1. Test with just the MacBook Pro
  2. Add one monitor and test
  3. Remove the one monitor, and connect the other, test again
  4. Lastly, test with both monitors

Then, if the issue still occurs, you'll have isolated to which device is having the issue.


If the issue is with one of the monitors, contact the manufacturer first, as they may be familiar with the issue, and already have some information about it.

Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support
