How to duplicate/clone/copy an iOS Notes?

When a problem has been unsatisfactorily answered (as evidenced by 2,600 “me too” for the problem and merely 5 “likes” for a crappy answer.


this forum merely expires the questions. So I make yet another one.


this question never gets adequately solved since 2018:



how do one clone, copy, duplicate an iOS Notes?


extremely frustrating.

You are using an iPad. Unfortunately, on the iPad, the "Share Note" option is some kind of fancy sharing tool over the internet or something. Choose the "Send a Copy" option. Then choose "Copy". Then create a new node. Then paste from the clipboard. Your note is duplicated.

there is no “Share” button whatsoever anywhere. There is only a “Share Note” button.


cut-n-paste only seems to work for small amount of words or paragraph, but not for a large body of text (that may contain tables, hyperlinks, extensive formatting)


latest iOS version 15.6.1

iPad 7th gen, model MW742LL/A


Pages app is too big of an app for this tiny iPad storage. Staying with Notes app.
