How to change the background transparency of a widget

I just got the new update, and the picture i want as my background isn’t working well with the font and color i want. This new update is showing me the solution, but won’t give me it.When i go into background settings and click on the widget, i see the thing shown in the image, which is exactly what i want. However, i have no idea how to get this working. If this is actually a thing you can change, please tell me how to do it step by step.

Hello Cardboard_object,

There would not be a way to adjust the background opacity of widgets on your Lock Screen. Only the color of the text of the widgets can be changed. This article outlines all the ways you can personalize your Lock Screen in iOS 16: Personalize your iPhone Lock Screen

However, we are always open to feedback on our products and services and encourage you to submit yours about Lock Screen widgets here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
