I am currently using the 15.5 software version, and I have the option to update it to the iOS 15.7 or 16 software. I have heard from a lot of people that there is many issues when an iPhone XR updates it’s software, so I wanted to get some help and feedback.

I understand that it is up to me, but MY QUESTION IS will the new update (or upgrade) cause issues to my iPhone XR? With the iOS 15.7 or iOS 16, I am asking if the update, or upgrade, will cause an issue to my phone?? It’s a simple question.
I know how to update the software, that wasn’t my question.
I currently own a iPhone XR, and if I download the new updates will it cause issues with my phone? I’ve heard that the iPhone XR cannot handle the new update and after it’s been downloaded it will start to cause issues.

It is really up to you if you want to upgrade to iOS 16 or simply update to iOS 15.7.
