Have you tried to reset the printing system?

Was it the following driver?

How is the printer connected (USB, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi)?

First of all, there are two similar downloads from Xerox. I assume that you have the one for N and NI (xrwc6015n_ni1019m107ml.dmg). If there is a problem with the driver as such, you may have to contact Xerox.


That appears to be a self-assigned IP address. Have you checked that the Mac computer communicates properly with the printer? Is the Ethernet printer connection via a router/switch/hub, or possibly direct?

Thank you for the information. You have marked the topic as solved, but (based on your latest post) I assume that the problem is still there.


To begin with, does the printer work OK when not connected to a computer? For example, printing a report via the System button -> Information Pages (such as System Settings or Demo Page). Copying a document from the printer's control panel?

Any difficulties in connection with the installation of the downloaded driver?


You mentioned Ethernet. Is the printer connected to one of the LAN ports of a (Wi-Fi) router? Have you tried another Ethernet cable? Have you tried to power cycle the router, the printer(s), and the Mac computer?


Any change if you try a USB connection? A wireless printer connection to a Wi-Fi router?


Any chance of carrying out a comparative test with another Mac (running Mojave, or an earlier or newer macOS version)? Also, does the printer work OK with a Windows computer?

The printer takes copies well.


The infopage is well printed.


The IP address is 169.254.4.238


There is nothing wrong with the printer. The problem is that my Mac Pro 5.1 on Mojawe can not load the driver for the Xerox 6015. When I start loading it , the screen shows after 20 seconds a whole page of ??????.


Downloading a Josemite driver is correct but when installing it I get the message that this driver is not compatible with the Mac Pro...
