Apple Music; Unable to Download Music

Hi, I recently got an iPhone, and I resetted my MacBook Air (which I had been using for a year with Apple Music), with a new Apple ID, and also signed in the new iPhone with same Apple ID

now, when I sign in into Apple Music (with the newer Apple ID on Mac and iPhone), I am unable to download songs on Mac, but I am able to do so on iPhone

When I click transfer, an error is being encountered. How do I fix this?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.0

You may need to sign out of the current Apple ID first. If the problem persists contact Apple Support for assistance.


See also Authorization vs. association - Apple Community. In general it is best to stick to a single Apple ID. Switching can cause problems.
