Disc Utility problem while reinstalling

I bought a secondhand M1 macbook pro and i followed a tutorial from which i deleted my Macintosh HD and MHD - Data. Now it is showing Apple SSD and container disc 3 instead of it and i don’t know what to keep and what to delete to reset my macbook completely as a new. Running on Big Surr

Erased container disk and reinstalled OS Hi, I recently purchased a new MacBook and finally got around to clearing my old MacBook Air 2014 - Big Sur. (I had already signed out of iCloud and done an iCloud transfer to new laptop via cloud and not new Mac). This is why there was data still on old laptop. I hopefully cleared all my data via disk utility. I erased disk called container disk 3, with format Mac OS extended Journal. After this step, I reinstalled Mac OS from recovery. It was in an out of box state and my log in details were cleared. My question is this, is all my personal details etc photos, files etc gone from this laptop and essentially unrecoverable? Thanks for your help.

Clean Install macOS Ventura I have a little OCD, so on previous Macs, would format the SSD before reinstalling the latest version of macOS. I’ve just purchased a 16 inch MacBook Pro M1 Pro. It was pre-installed with macOS Monterey. I upgraded to Ventura then formatted the SSD, but when choosing to reinstall macOS, it reverts to downloading Monterey. Is there any way to clean install macOS and retain Ventura? Thanks in advance.

Try using the following support articles to both properly erase the Mac's system drive, and then, re-install macOS.
