No notifications from mindfulness app

Have a brand new ultra, set up as a new watch. Mindfulness is set to notify at beginning and end of day, as well as 2pm. Never get any notifications at all - they are enabled, and I've tried both regular and via Notification Center.

Does the app work at all?

and before anyone posts basic troubleshooting steps, I've done all those. Rebooted, toggled on and off, set up as new watch again. Nothing triggers them. Other notifications work just fine.
