I want to back up my ipod to my computer as I have done before. Plugged in, ipod is open. In itunes. No menu for back up. What am I missing?

I am trying to back up my ipod to my computer as I have done before. Itunes is open. Ipod is plugged in. There is no menu for "back up now." I'm missing something, but what? Still using Big Sur. Susan

Hello

Ever since macOS Catalina, iPod syncing and backing up has been done in the Finder. Just plug your iPod into your Mac and go to the Finder sidebar.
