It also has a red dot. And value bar going back and forth. What to do? It identified all the files, then said transferring. Now this.
I also tried the Time Machine backup but the TM says “in use” and I can’t get it out of that mode.

No nothing. I decided to erase the new Mac and re-do the migration from the Time Machine / Time Capsule again. It took about 18 hours this time, but it looks like it worked.
Open Activity Monitor in Utilities, View>All Processes, sort on CPU%, see if anything is listed in red or says Not responding.
In Sys Prefs>iCloud, is Photos checked?
Noting using way too much CPU?
If you have a Time Machine Drive, are yu connecting it directly to the newer Mac?
No it’s going through WiFi. It seems to be working now, just very slowly.
Wifi will be very slow my friend, plan on a Movie then dinner, & a short nap. :)

It’s been 4 days since the migration. The photos are still nowhere to be found and the documents are still gray’d out.
I called Apple again. They said wait another 24 hours ….

Ok it finished, so that’s lucky! It took about 15 hours. It looks like my documents transferred over but I can’t seem to find my photos. Any idea where I would look for those.
Might log into icloud.com & see what is there!
