Photos app taking up tons of storage, even after I clear some photos

The photos app has been taking up 5gb on my iPad gen 8 (2020, 64 GB Model) and even when I clear out photos and videos, it doesn’t barely budge. And I reboot the iPad and still no use. I use this device alot for things and I need help to use it properly.

(iPadOS 15) Problem Solved: In recently deleted if you click delete all, it will solve most of the problem.
