You should be able to update your iPhone by selecting Settings > General > Software Update. At that screen you should see the option to update your iOS. Please let us know if you do not.

An iPhone 6 Plus cannot run iOS 13 or later. It lacks the hardware to run anything newer.

The most current version an iPhone 6 Plus can run is iOS 12.5.6.

You cannot update an iPhone 6 Plus beyond iOS 12.5.6. It doesn't have the hardware to support later versions.
