Resizing width of tables in Notes app

Someone a year ago asked how to widen columns in Notes app tables.

Response given was to add a row on top of the table and use the space bar repeatedly pressed to increase the size of a column. This is not working now. The column may widen by a couple spaces, but there seems to be no way, for example, to make page-width, two-columns equal-width (or even unequal) document in Notes.

Suggestions, anyone? TIA.

Add space in between paragraphs while using table layout In the table layout in notes, how could you add paragraph spacing? The return key turns to next and all you do is skip to the next cell in the table. I know I can create paragraph spacing in the desktop app on a Mac but is it not possible with the iOS version on iPhone? I tried looking in the format menus but there doesn’t seem to be an option. Highlighting and dragging also doesn’t create paragraph spacing. Thanks.

Having trouble with Notes in macOS Sonoma... Whenever I try to paste a table into iCloud Notes, it makes each individual cell its own table, and only pastes the text from the upper-leftmost cell, leaving all the other ones blank! I tried to paste a rather large table into Notes, thing would barely even start after that. Google Notes is fine, you can paste tables all you like, but iCloud just can't handle tables anymore. What's up with that.
