I have an apple watch 5. After upgrading to watchOS 9, I am facing a serious battery drain, where a full recharge is not enough for 12h without workout and 1h with a workout? is that a OS issue? or my watchOS battery is not in a good shape? Before the upgrade I was recharging every 24h

No, this is an issue with the new watchOS or the iOS 16, it's happening to me with the battery health at 84%.
Last week the watch was working normally (charging it every night with around 45% of battery) now I have to charge it twice per day, the battery flies.
I switched from Unity Lights to Chronograph Pro and my problem was solved. Tried unpairing/re-pairing first but did nothing.
60 replies and not a peep from APPLE.
Or is it now APPLESOFT plagued with problems?

I’ve had an Ultra for a month. It was good for 36 hours. After this update it literally dies after 12!!!
Again as I have said on here many times. I had same issue with my Series 5. Changed the watch face from Unity Lights to Chronograph Pro and now everything is fine 🤗
I haven't tried other faces but the switch from Utility Lights to Chronograph Pro was an earlier suggestion.
Same. I didn't really expect changing the face would help, but had nothing to lose. As is, will now keep my watch on the charger until they release 9.3, and see if that helps.
Dude, you aren’t ”listening “. This is happening immediately after updating to WatchOS 9.2. There is a serious issue with that update. Has nothing to do with the health of the battery.
I wouldn’t do that. I shut my watch off and stopped using it. This will kill the health of your battery.
My friend has the cellular version and it’s not having the issue. Might be related to Bluetooth/wifi watched only??
