iPhone PRODUCT RED phones colour fading within a few months

I have previous PRODUCT RED phones with no issue however have owned this iPhone SE 3 (2022) for just 3 months when I noticed the colour fading. It's been kept perfectly in a silicon case the whole time. I took it to the Apple Store and they said it can't be exchanged under warranty.... I don't buy a €1000 phone to have it unsellable and possibly have issues trading in within a few months due to shoddy manufacturing that Apple aren't even taking responsibility for. There are countless cases and questions about this online and yet Apple say and do nothing...
