Keyboard Haptics very weak

Since upgrading to IOS 16.0.2 i've noticed my keyboard haptics have become very weak to the point of being useless. With sounds off and in a totally quiet room with my ear pressed to the phone I can hear the haptic engine pulse, but its so weak it can't be felt. I've tried turning keyboard haptics on and off, turning vibrations on and off and resetting network settings with no success. All other haptics work fine so it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue. Is this a known bug? It was a great feature while it lasted.
