How to get Bedtime Alarm to play ONLY on iPhone and not on Apple Watch?
Hello,
I just bought the Apple Watch yesterday. And this morning I ran into a problem where my Sleep/Bedtime alarm only goes off on my Apple Watch. It will not make a sound but will only vibrate on my wrist vs playing on my phone.
Normally it would go off on my phone and play the “Sunny” alarm sound so my 2 year old could push the stop button and know it’s time to get out of the crib.
I’ve called support three times and spoke with three wonderfully helpful reps. But none were able to help.
Here are the steps I’ve taken and still the alarm will not chime on my phone and will only vibrate on my wrist:
I’ve turned off the setting in my clock app for “Push Alerts from iPhone” in the description for it, it states “when this is on Apple Watch will alert you of timers and alarms set on iPhone so you can snooze or dismiss remotely” - this is turned off
I even went to far as to go in the Apple Watch app in General -> Focus -> And turn off mirror my iPhone -
So that when my iPhone goes on bedtime focus mode the apple watch wouldn’t in case that was also a factor.
Both watch (series 8 version 9.0) and phone are up to date as of writing this (ios 16.0.2)
I’m looking for a solution and not able to get one.
I don’t want to be dramatic but whats the point of buying this specific watch version to track my sleep and temperature if I can’t have my bedtime alarms on my iPhone still play?
The solution can’t just be “don’t wear the watch to bed.”
