When I answer phone calls on my iPhone 12 mini, the call timer is stuck on 00:00 and I don't hear anything from the other end. I am able to place calls as expected but while answering the phone calls I face this issue very frequently.

Hallo Karina, this happens with a lot of contacts or numbers which also are not saved in my phone. I updated my phone to the newest ISO-version I restarted several times and it’s not working.
note: this happens when I’m using my phone. So when the phone is not locked. When the phone locked and I swap it works but if I get the call while I’m chatting or readying something and I click on the green button it doesn’t work!
it open the call and my phone freezes and the time sets still at 00:00. See screenshot below!

Thanks for keeping us posted on the situation. Updating the iOS was a great step to take. At this point, we'd recommend connecting with Apple at Get Support for additional assistance.

We'll be happy to help out with the issue regarding incoming calls. Does this happen no matter which contacts call you? Or is it only happening with a single contact? If only a single contact is affected, try deleting the contact and adding them back again to see if that resolve the issue: Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Also try restarting the iPhone if you haven't already, as this can sometimes fix unusual issues like this: Restart your iPhone.
