Hi, my read receipts in iMessage is toggled off, but ever since I updated my iOS, my contacts can see when I’ve read their messages. I’ve shut my phone off and on, as well as toggled the read receipts back on, and then off again, and it is still showing when I have read my messages. I do not want my contacts to be able to see when I’ve read my text messages. Please help!

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Is this happening with a specific contact or multiple? The reason we ask is that it is possible to have Read receipts enable for a particular contact even if it is disabled for iMessage in general.
To confirm and disable it for a specific contact:
