iCloud storage for iMovie

I have not ever turned on iCloud for storage on my iPhone 8.

I was creating a new video in iMovie, I noticed that a few past videos wouldn’t play and gave this message.

How is this even possible?

iPad videos storage Hi, lately when I make a video in iMovie and then try to upload it to YouTube, I get the message “Downloading videos, some of the videos in this project are being downloaded from iCloud”. These are short videos I just took and stitched together in IMovie. I live in a rural area and it takes over 30 minutes for a 45 second video to come down from the cloud. This never use to happen, why are my videos stored in the cloud? Thanks for your help.

Storage restrictions on iCloud + I currently upgraded my iCloud storage to 2T. Yesterday while creating albums and uploading images/videos, I received a message stating my videos that were above 100MB would not be stored. Is there a different area where I can store this files in iCloud. For example, can I store them in iPhoto within a a folder rather than an album? Or can I store files larger than 100MB in my iCloud Drive?

iCloud video files won't finish uploading I noticed recently that I have approximately 15 out of 45 QT videos in my iCloud account that have the uploading cloud symbol. Those that are still uploading are not accessible on all devices. I don't know what to do to fix this. All videos were uploaded to iCloud several years ago. I tried logging into iCloud through the website and uploading and the webpage kept timing out. The QT video I was testing is about 4 GB. Any suggestions on what else I could try or what is going on?

iCloud issues often cause issues in iMovie, sometimes for no apparent reason. What might help is to:

Go into the Photos app
Save the videos you want to use to your Files app -> On this iPhone.
Open iMovie and get the videos from ‘Files’ under your Media Browser; it then shouldn’t try to get them from iCloud
