Smaller display following IOS 16 update

Hi all.

The IOS 16 update has made all of my home screens, icons, and interface tools slightly smaller than they were in 15. I take it this is a new feature from Apple? Does anyone know how to alter this back? All I can find are the accessibility options which make everything ridiculously bold/zoomed-in and my eyesight isn’t quite that bad yet. That said, this new teeny-text is giving me a headache. TIA
