Carplay Not Working. Carplay not listed as a ScreenTime app

I have a Kenwood stereo in my GMC truck. I have successfully used CarPlay with the Kenwood using USB connection. However, it would not connect at some point so I used the Forget option. Since then I cannot get Carplay to recognize the Kenwood and connect. I've tried all the fixes documented online and in doing so noticed an anomoly. The ScreenTime setting does not list CarPlay as a recognized App. Could this be the issue and if so how do I get CarPlay listed as a recognized ScreenTime app?
