Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. By any chance, did you verify that the feature of Do Not Disturb is turned off? You can verify that by going to the Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Focus > make sure Do Not Disturb is turned off.

When you created a new user, did you test using the same calendar account you use on your main account? Perhaps there is a setting within the calendar events themselves that is not allowing audio notifications. Do audio notifications work if you create new events, using a different calendar account?

What we'd advise to do next, is to contact Apple Support, and let them know what was needed to be done to get an audio alert for a Calendar event.

Yes. It solved a problem. But it is really not obvious setting. If I see calendar notification, I want to hear a sound.
I think it is really inconvenient to make additional adjustments on alerts for accounts. Why I should do it for every account? Why not using existing alerts that event has already inside?

Don't have time for that sorry. I think if you working for Apple you should be more interested to pass this feedback to proper department for making your product better. Not me spending time on that. I already did that 😊
