No sound for notification from calendar

I have tried:

  1. Restart in safe mode and check -> didn't work
  2. After restart in normal mode -> nothing changed.
  3. All settings are in notifications are set
  4. Created new user and test -> works.
  5. Login back to main user -> doesn't work.



What should I do to reset notification settings for calendar or somehow make it works? It is really annoying that you can't do anything with it by regular tools and should create some topics in this forum...

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. By any chance, did you verify that the feature of Do Not Disturb is turned off? You can verify that by going to the Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Focus > make sure Do Not Disturb is turned off.


If it's already off, we recommend to ensure that your Mac is updated to the latest version of macOS 12.6. Having the latest update helps provide software improvements: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

Hey there filosof_ch, 


When you created a new user, did you test using the same calendar account you use on your main account? Perhaps there is a setting within the calendar events themselves that is not allowing audio notifications. Do audio notifications work if you create new events, using a different calendar account?
