Phone number not on iCloud

I’m no longer receiving messages from my number on my iPad anymore through iCloud what can I do to add my number back on send & receive ?

My mobile phone number no longers shows for messages on ipad. Yesterday, I did an update for the ipad 11. Today all of my imessages are from the icloud account. When I go to Settings, messages, send and receive, my phone number is no longer an option. The only options I have are my gmail account and my icloud account. How can I fix this so my phone number is an option for send and receive messages on my ipad?
