I had run a free version of antivirus one and it detected two files from starstechnologies. One a plist and the other an updater.
are these dangerous or just malware?
I was able to delete the plist in dameon folders
i can’t find the updater? Where can I find it?

REmove the free antivirus software you installed. It’s worthless, as is virtually all antivirus software on a Mac.
Those were undoubtedly false positives.
There are no known viruses in the wild that can infect an up to date Mac.
