I looked at old questions regarding iPhoto and, even after all this time since Apple terminated iPhoto, I am still wondering whether there is a way to retrieve an iPhoto project...? Would it be on my backup TimeMachine?

You may be able to recover the iPhoto Library with the book project, but on macOS 12.6 you will not be able to run iPhoto and save the project as PDF for printing.
Did you perhaps save your books you sent for printing as a PDF file? Then try to recover this PDF from your backup. Then try to find a print service who can print another copy of your book from the PDF. When Apple closed the stores for print services , Mimeo (https://import.mimeophotos.com) and Presto Photos (https://www.prestophoto.com) offered to print Apple Books from PDF files.

What kind of project are you talking about? A Book or print project? Something else?
Theoretically, if your Time Machine disk is sufficiently large to go back that far, yes it may be there.
It's a photo book I did with iPhoto and would like to print again. I may be able to retrieve it from my TimeMachine, but, in the end, I won't be able to import it into Motif... iPhoto had a great option with the spiral binding, which Motif doesn't have. Thanks for replying.
It's good to know. I have since then used Motif which officially replaced iPhoto and is easy to use. But I will see what is possible with the two sites you mention. I will post an update
