Rename photos on iPad

That's a great question! There isn't a way to name a photo in the Photos app on your iPad. If you would like to provide feedback for Apple to review about the Photos app, you can do so via the Product Feedback website. This would ensure the right individuals receive and review that feedback.

You can create and name photo albums in Photos. You can find those steps listed below along with the following article.

1. "Open Photos.
2. Go to Albums and tap the Add button .
3. Tap New Album. Type an album name, tap Save, then choose the photos and videos that you want to add.
4. Tap Done."

As indicated by Todd0213, the iOS/iPadOS Photos App does not provide a native method for renaming photos on your device. However, there a third-party Apps that will both expose and allow you to change the respective filenames of photos stored on your device.
