Giving access to the camera and microphone Makes it unsafe? Why does the app, Facebook, Instagram see and hear a lot of our information?

Hi there, 1Kring,

An app might want to access the camera and/or microphone if it needs to use those functions for certain features in that app. For example, a video calling app would need access to both the camera and microphone in order to complete video calls.

To get more information on how this works, and how you can control which apps have access to the various hardware features on your phone, please review Control access to hardware features on iPhone - Apple Support.
