Sometimes when I make calls with my iPhone 11 the other person cannot hear me.

Sometimes when I make calls with my iPhone 11 the other person cannot hear me. Hanging up and dialling again sometimes helps. A friend says he experiences something similar with an iPhone 12. is this a known problem?

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right

Thanks for the reply. It is an intermittent fault so none of these apply. It may be just with WhatsApp. Facetime did seem to work, but as the fault is intermittent I'm not sure what the cause is. It doesnt seem to be a hardware issue as when a call is connected properly, the mic works fine. However, for some calls the other person cannot hear anything.
