Apple Music on Roku - Error "No DRM Object on Player"

The Apple Music channel on Roku will stop playing music after about 30 minutes, and displays the following error.

0: Internal Error: No DRM object on player

I've tried updating Roku, the channel itself, but it still quits playing music. Roku directed me to Apple Support for help.

Hey there DeeNVa,

Does this happen when playing a specific artist, album, or playlist?

It would be helpful to follow Get the Apple Music app on your smart TV, game console, or streaming device signing out of Apple Music, restarting, then signing back in again.

Sign out of the Apple Music app

1. Open the Apple Music app.
2. Go to Settings > Account.
3. Choose Sign Out.

Should the issue persist, you may want to reset the Apple Music app.

Reset the Apple Music app to its original settings

Before you sell or give away your device or uninstall the Apple Music app, you should reset the Apple Music app. Resetting the Apple Music app signs you out of your account, removes your personal information, and restores the app to its original settings.

If you reset the Apple Music app on a smart TV, game console, or streaming device that's also signed in to the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app, then the Apple TV app and Apple TV+ app will also be restored to their original settings.

To reset the Apple Music app:

1. Open the Apple Music app.
2. Go to Settings.
* On your smart TV or streaming device, choose Reset Apple TV and Apple Music.
* On your game console, choose Reset Apple Music.

Have a good one!
