iPad Pro 2021 11 inch Picture Quality

The picture quality on this device is poor and previous responses to queries posted by other users are useless. £1049 for a device that takes pictures at a quality that makes a cheap Nokia look high end.

The posted image may not be showing here at full resolution - and as such it is difficult to constructively assess/grade the image. That said, within the technical limitations of the front-facing ultra-wide camera, the image does appear be sub-par. A possible explanation is low light - which will tend to exaggerate picture noise within the cropped image.

If you are concerned about the performance of your iPad camera, you would be advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad and its camera system. If a fault is identified, you’ll be in the best possible place to explore your options:

It is what it is.

Nothing will change this.

That camera lens is designed as an ultrawide angle, FaceTime video camera for video calls. While a 12mp camera, the combination of the built-in Centerstage digital pan and zoom software, coupled with the ultrawide angle camera lens reduces that effective resolution of that camera to something less than 12mp.

That front camera lens was NOT designed to be used as a “selfie” camera lens, but to be used for video calls, group video calls and video conferencing.

If you do not like this answer and you are not happy with this iPad, if it is less than 14 days old, return it to Apple for a full refund.

If you have had this iPad longer than this, sell the iPad and attempt to recover as much of your money, as possible.

Sorry.
